DOMETIC Hydro Flame 35100 Electrode for New Series Furnaces

The part came overnight. My Dometic DFMD-30111 is probably one of the most common furnaces out there. At 1-1/2 years old, it is out of warranty. When the thermostat called for power, the blower would engage, the igniter would light. But, as soon as the igniter finished its sparking cycle, the furnace would go out. This would happen three times, then the LED would flash 3 times indicating a lockout. I found the dometic service manual online and tested voltage, gas pressure, and even tried a new circuit board. The service manual indicates that the igniter also acts as the flame sensor – this is important! I think the igniter was not communicating a successful flame to the ciruit board. I pulled out the old igniter, replaced it with this new one, and it fired up perfectly. if you are having my problem…. TRY THIS FIRST!
