This a set of sturdy stools. They have welded seams and are all steel in construction other than the plastic feet. The stools are stackable and have small rubbery isolation bumpers which clip to a crossbrace beneath the seat. If I ever stack them I will let you know how it works out, but i don’t foresee any issues. I purchased the flat black finish variety and I feel like the coating is pretty durable as I’ve noticed zero issues after about 3 months of every day use. However, If you want a comfortable stool these might not be what you are looking for. They have a good size hand grip or hole in the center of the seat. I bought these because I wanted counter height stools to sit at a kitchen island while construction is being completed at the house. The ultimate goal was to move the stools to the work bench, but I’m in no hurry. I like these stools. Additionally, I was surprised to find two backrests upon opening the well packaged box my two stools came in. I didn’t try to use the backrests but they seem to be of the same quality as the rest of the stool, each having 4 fasteners, and the stools have threaded lugs welded in place to accept said fasteners. These stools remind me of what you might find near a machine in a factory or in shop class at school. I am sure they could survive pretty much any disaster.
