After checking many similar products on the internet, I was skeptical how well this hole saw will perform installing a Moen corner shelf on my porcelain tiled bathroom. Given good reviews and inexpensive price, I decided to give it a try and I am very happy to do so. To help others I will outline the steps I took to complete my project.1. I had a extra piece of porcelain tile. I decided to make a trial hole before I actually do it on the bathroom tiles. I used a regular (not hammered) drill. The hole saw was moving around and was difficult to make the hole in the exact target area. I made a hole on a piece of wood and used it as a guide ( see photo). To make it even more fault tolerant, I used making tape on tile where the hole was to be made to make more friction. I proceeded with making the hole. This process took about 2 minutes and went quite smooth.2. Having the mentality of “doing it right the 1st time”, and since I did not have a helper, I decided to further cut the wood so I can push it against the wall while drilling for further stability (See photo). Worthy of note is the fact that my bathroom wall has three layers: a drywall borad, cement board, and tile. The holes were made perfectly.3. I am very pleased with the quality and the ease of use of this product and I strongly recommend it. It works with or without irrigation. For the trial work I did not use water to cool the hole saw but I used water afterwards.
