It was simple to assemble. The paper templates were very helpful especially since my 2019 Ram did not have the typical ‘dimple’ marks in the tailgate frame. The most difficult was screwing in the ‘self tapping’ hardware. These screw were very challenging to install. I managed to get them in, bit take your time, use a lot of pressure, and turn little at a time. DO NOT USE A DRILL to install the supplied self tapping screws – they will strip. Otherwise, the gate looks great and worked really well hauling two oversized loads. The pins and rubber caps (over the pivot joints) are useful – JUST BE CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE THEM. They are small and can easily be misplaced. But yeah 4 stars because the install was a bit difficult.
