[ note: This was shipped to me at no cost, as part of the Amazon Vine program, in exchange for leaving a review. I do my best to be objective, but it would be dishonest not to mention that. ]I’m a DIYer / “serious hobbyist” -level detailer. I have two cars I take care of, as well as neighbors’ when they ask, that are parked outside and take a beating… so they get washed at least once per week, and I do my best to replicate professional results. I stay on top of changes in tech and best practices, and am not afraid to change products at the drop of a hat. So, while I don’t spend all day, every day, dealing with all the available products, I have a pretty good idea of what’s out there… good and bad.I’ve seen some rave reviews of 3D stuff popping up lately, and was excited when I saw their foam gun (see review / listing elsewhere), as I was annoyed with the two I already had: It is definitely high quality and a good value, so when I saw this dressing pop up in my Amazon Vine offers, I jumped at the chance — I had just run out of both retail spray-on tire dressing (that I was never really happy with), and a wipe on Chemical that a lot of Guys are very big on, so I was actually actively shopping for something better to try.tl;dr: This stuff is great! Full stop. Now, understand, it may not seem as “easy” as “spray and walk away” gimmicks (that I’m admittedly a sucker for, but am oovvverrr thanks to this — the sling and waiting time aren’t worth it, when they really don’t do a great job covering anyway!), and it is thin / watery compared to the retail dressings I’ve tried…… but those are both GOOD things!A small splash of this thin, magic dressing on a new, dry sponge was all it took to make my tires look terrific. I was astonished at how far it went, how well it penetrated every nook and cranny on the tire, and how quickly it dried. Not at all fiddly or messy to deal with, and it did a great job as a finishing touch.(Only time will tell how long it lasts — but Vine requires leaving a review soon after receiving the product. If I notice anything either particularly good or bad, I’ll do my best to come back and update this review.)It does take a minute or two to dry, so you can’t drive away immediately, but it is thin and dries quickly (much more quickly than spray on, and quicker than most goopy options), so it doesn’t sling off like many I’ve tried. It definitely doesn’t leave an artificially glossy / shiny / over the top look, but that’s a matter of personal taste. Many of us prefer satin / matte / etc, and it certainly looks nice. The killer benefit: Yes, it may seem like the asking price is a lot of money — but, egads, this will go a lonnnnng way. I put less than a 1/4c on a soft, dry sponge, and there was enough left to squeeze some out after treating all four tires thoroughly: If I use it only as a tire dressing, it’ll last years of washing once or twice per week.It is a commercial product, so it is not packaged for small, occasional use… I’ll probably buy a small squirt bottle or dispenser, just to make it easier than trying to pour out just a touch from the gallon jug. Not knocking a star off for that, that’s for sure.Added bonus (IMHO, but some may disagree): It is not artificially perfumed. If it smells like anything, it’s just “clean and vaguely chemical-y.” Frankly, I don’t need my chemicals to smell like bubble gum or apples or strawberries or whatever some marketing twit decides is a selling pitch. The less scent the better, just do the job. And this stuff delivers on both counts.I look forward to trying it on more surfaces — interior, black trim, engine dressing — but I won’t have time for a full detail before I should get this review posted. I’ll do my best to update.Really nice product. Really. And a BARGAIN. If you wash your cars frequently and have a place to store a gallon of specific-purpose chemical, it’s a no brainer. Not only would I have paid full price for it (and their foam canon), but also I’ve already paid full price now for their one-step polishing compound to see how it works (will review when I have a chance to try it, but don’t know when that will be), and am looking forward to trying more 3D products.I sincerely hope this review helped you. Thanks for reading!
