I have 9 cats. Two used to be indoor/outdoor cats, but a stray showed up on my neighborhood last year and (understandably) decided that my house MUST be the local cat hotel. He’s constantly in my yard, and at sunrise and sunset, he would jump up into my kitchen window. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. SUNRISE AND SUNSET, GUARANTEED THIS CAT WOULD BE IN MY WINDOW. And at least SOME of my nine cats would be incredibly irritated by this intruder on the other side of the glass. I didn’t open my kitchen window ONCE ALL summer, despite not having air conditioning. Because EVERY SINGLE DAY at sunrise (5:15 in the summer!!!) he’d be on the outside of the window, and a few of my cats would be on the inside, screaming like banshees. I never even knew that cats could make noises like my cats would make… Every day. So when I saw these, I jumped on them. My dad was coming over that weekend, so I told him what I’d gotten and asked him to bring a drill that could drill into the brick on the outside of my windowsill. He did, but he also brought similar spikes he’d gotten to keep birds away. But the spikes he brought were metal! I said, look, I hate that cat, but I’m not trying to hurt him. That was exactly why I’d picked these, because they’re plastic. Uncomfortable, yes, but they wouldn’t injure the poor thing, as much as I hate the stupid cat.So my dad put a few screws into the brick, I put these plastic spikes on the windowsill, and I’ve been able to sleep in every day since. It’s been AMAZING. The cat is still out there, but he’s not in my window. My cats are screaming MUCH less. It’s peaceful and quiet once again. And I have tons left over. I may use some in my kitchen until my cats learn to stay off the counter. They came with clear sticky tabs that will be perfect for the kitchen counter. They also came with snaps so you can snap multiple sheets together without having to sacrifice some of the spikes to overlap them.Just the peace and quiet in the mornings has been worth every penny and I have tons of them to last probably the rest of my life. Super effective at keeping nuisance animals away, and my neighbors don’t even see them on the window, so they’re great. If only I could put them around my yard so my cats could go back outside again… They have no issues beating each other up, so I’m not sure why they’re so afraid of this guy. But I’ll take my quiet mornings as a huge win!!
