Dorman 917-014 Oil Filter Adapter Gasket Compatible with Select Models

Perfect fit for my 2007 Equinox. The original one developed a leak after all these years (see photo of OEM installed) and this oil filter adaptor seal is a super ez fix. I didnt get a pic of the new one installed unfortuantly. Take the oil filter off, remove the 3 bolts, clean the mate flanges up nice with some fine grit sandpaper or Emory cloth, and install this new one. Leak is gone! Just align the new one, which is a little different since it’s a improved Dorman product, in the same orientation as the old one (open bolt location in the same spot). In reality, this adaptor is open around the center oil hole inside and the cross/little holes in the center piece of the gasket seem to be there for structural support of the gasket instead of seal function. You could probably install it anyway you wanted and it would seal fine since the mate flanges are symmetric. Very happy with product, would buy again.
